KATOWICE 2013 is the 30th International Fair of Mining, Power
& Metallurgy,
taking place in Katowice, Poland, 10th - 13th September,
2013. Held
biennially, it is long established as the most important and
comprehensive
fair of its kind in Central-Eastern Europe, although its reach is
far
greater than just Poland and the surrounding countries; the last
edition in
2011 had nearly 400 exhibitors from 16 countries and the exhibition
was
visited by over 28,000 professionals from 22 countries.
As a major focal point for the coal and lignite producing countries
in
Europe, KATOWICE affords the opportunity to meet with potential
customers
and find partners from the coal producing nations of Bulgaria,
Czech
Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia,
Slovakia,
Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine. It is also an important meeting point
for all
those involved in the fields of metallurgy and coal-fired power
generation,
attracting visitors from many other countries not historically
associated
with coal production but who are nevertheless dependent on coal for
their
power generation.
